Milton Hershey School is a cost-free, coeducational private boarding school focusing primarily on supporting children from low income families.
As the largest residential education program in the United States, MHS' campus consists of more than 240 facilities to support its academic,
administrative, recreational, residential, and athletic programs. These facilities are constructed and maintained by the school’s Facilities
& Technical Services team. Milton Hershey School was and continues to still be funded by the trust fund established by its eponymous founders
Milton and Catherine Hershey, dating back to 1909.
"The School was Kitty's idea," said Milton Hershey. "If we had helped a hundred children it would have all been worthwhile." Having long exceeded
those humble goals, MHS is currently fostering the success of over 2,000 students, with thousands more to enroll in the future. The school's
Facilities & Technical Services teams work tirelessly to ensure that its students have every facility they could possibly require to excel in
their education. This includes everything from constructing new student homes, to the establishment of a brand new middle school campus to support
a greater influx of students.
